This Cookie Policy explains how Demorr (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on demorr.in (the “Platform”). Please read it with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. It has been prepared with reference to the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your phone, tablet or computer when you visit it. They let the site recognise your device, remember your cart and settings, and work properly from one page to the next. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, do the same kind of job, and in this Policy we call them all “cookies”.
Why We Use Cookies
- to make the Platform work, for example keeping items in your cart while you shop and at checkout;
- to keep you logged in and your account secure;
- to remember choices such as your wishlist and compared products; and
- to understand how the Platform is used, so we can fix problems and improve it.
Types of Cookies We Use
| Type | What it does | Examples | Your consent |
| Strictly necessary | Needed for the shop to work: cart, checkout, login and security. They cannot be switched off in our systems. | woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_*, wordpress_logged_in_* | Not required |
| Functional | Remember your choices and make the Platform easier to use. | Wishlist and compare lists, recently viewed products | Required |
| Analytics and performance | Show us, in aggregated form, which pages are visited and where visitors run into problems. | Only if and when we switch on an analytics tool | Required |
| Marketing and advertising | Measure our campaigns and show relevant offers on other platforms. | Only if and when we switch on advertising tools | Required |
Strictly necessary cookies last for the browsing session or for a short period. Other cookies last from a few days up to 12 months, depending on the tool. We do not use cookies to build profiles of children under 18.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by service providers that we use, such as payment partners at checkout or analytics and advertising tools if we enable them. We do not control these cookies, and they are covered by the providers’ own privacy and cookie policies. We review the tools we use from time to time and update this Policy when they change.
Your Choices and Consent
We use cookies other than strictly necessary ones only with your consent, and you can change your mind at any time. You can manage cookies in these ways:
- On our Platform: use any cookie settings or notice we show you, where available.
- In your browser: all major browsers let you block cookies, delete existing ones or be warned when a cookie is set. Look for “Cookies” or “Privacy” in your browser’s Settings menu (for example in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge).
- Through advertising settings: you can limit personalised ads in your Google or Meta account’s ad settings.
If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Platform, such as the cart, checkout and login, may stop working. Clearing your cookies will also remove any choices you saved.
Personal Data in Cookies
Cookies may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, products added to your cart and the time you spend on the Platform. Where this is personal data, we handle it as described in our Privacy Policy and under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time, for example when we change the tools we use or when the law changes. The latest version will always be on this page with its effective date, and we will ask for fresh consent where the law requires it.
